Working Hours: 9:00am – 4:30pm
Salary: £10.50 per hour increasing to £11 per hour following successful completion of probation
As a Support Worker you will help to improve the lives of the adults we support by promoting understanding and acceptance of people with autism, and helping them to be included and feel valued within their communities. You will be committed to maximising personal liberties and enabling people to make choices and decisions about their own lives. To ensure the highest standards of support are provided to the people who are supported by Leeds Autism Services, you will work within local and national guidelines and always strive to provide the best experience for our service users.

Working within day and outreach settings, supporting adults with autism to achieve their personal goals and outcomes. This may include:
- Supporting people to develop their skills
- Identifying opportunities for personal development
- Developing confidence and self-esteem
- Promoting physical and mental wellbeing
- Supporting people to plan their own support
- Facilitating communication and social understanding
- Helping people to develop coping strategies and manage behaviour
- Providing practical and emotional support
