This page provides comprehensive guidance from Skills for Care on the terms for employers accessing WDF, how to complete ASC-WDS, Learning & Development guides and more, together with all necessary forms from ARC to join our Partnership and submit claims for funding.  You will also find details on the process of working with Training Providers and how ARC adheres to the terms in managing the grant.

Skills for Care have developed a framework of learning providers, their interactive website provides details of training providers and the courses they offer.

WDF Grant Terms 2023/24
This document sets out how ARC, as a grant recipient, adheres to the terms and conditions set out by the Department of Health and Social Care and Skills for Care.  ARC acts as an intermediary in passing on funds to other organisations.  All grant recipients (our WDF partnership members) need to be aware of these terms and conditions.

Apprenticeships:

How employers and training providers should meet the 20% off-the-job training requirement for apprentices, with some best practice examples.

The Gov.uk website gives guidance relating to off-the-job training, documents include their policy background and examples, steps to help you determine whether an activity counts as off-the-job training and myth-busters.

The Gov.uk website also provides further information on what it’s like to be an apprentice, the opportunities and benefits and just how far an apprenticeship can take a learner in the future, plus The Essential Guide to Apprenticeship Support.

OUTLINE PROCESS

FIND A TRAINING PROVIDER → UPDATE YOUR ASC-WDS DETAILS (on or after 1st April each year) → JOIN A WDF PARTNERSHIP → LEARNERS ACHIEVE QUALIFICATIONS → TRAINING PROVIDERS SUBMIT CERTIFICATES TO EMPLOYERS → EMPLOYERS FORWARD WDF CLAIMS TO THEIR WDF PARTNERSHIP
