Revised AccessNI circular 3-2025 – AccessNI switch to Digital-only Disclosure Certificates
With effect from 1 September 2025 all ACCESSNI Disclosure Certificates will be produced digitally only.
When the AccessNI disclosure process has been completed, applicants will receive an email to inform them that their disclosure certificate has been issued. The applicant will be advised to log into their nidirect account to view their certificate, and they will have the screen option to share their certificate by entering the relevant email address of their employer or voluntary organisation.
Only one email address can be entered at a time so if the certificate needs to be shared with multiple individuals, each email address should be entered individually.
Once a certificate has been issued to the applicant, they will now need to share their certificate with you by sending you a link to view it online.
Once the applicant has shared the certificate with you, you will have up to 5 days to view this. It is important that you are aware that you can only view the certificate once. Should you need to view the certificate again the applicant will need to send you another link.
If an applicant provides you with a paper certificate that was issued on or after the 1st September 2025, this should not be accepted.
