ARC England joins social care leaders in joint statement: Strengthening adult social care and support for us all

ARC England is one of a group of over 100 organisations who have signed a joint statement setting out the need for Government to work with the sector to mitigate the pressures on councils, providers and charities. We are ready to work with the Government, as equal partners, to bring about the long-term changes needed to build a care and support system that enables everyone to live the life they want to lead.

With the Government’s spending review just weeks away on 11 June, now is the time to act! That is why ARC England alongside many of our members have added their voices to this call to the Chancellor, Rachel Reeves reflecting the depth of shared commitment and the strength of feeling across the sector.

We urge the Government to recognise the vital role that social care and support plays, particularly for people with learning disabilities and autistic people, and to prioritise long-term investment that unlocks the true value of the assets in our communities.

Together we can build the future we all want to see.

Alongside nearly 100 leaders in adult social care, we call on Rachel Reeves MP to strengthen adult social care and work with the sector, including people who draw on care and support, to mitigate the pressures on councils, providers and charities.
