ARC England welcomes new Director Samantha Leonard
Learning disability and autism provider membership body ARC England has announced that Samantha Leonard will be joining as Director in June 2025.
Samantha has worked in social care for her entire career and her experience spans senior operational and strategic management in a range of services, including supported housing, day services and local authority commissioning.
She says, “I am delighted to be joining ARC England. I very much look forward to working with our experts by experience, members and colleagues to continue the great work at ARC England and to make a positive contribution to the lives of people with learning disabilities and autistic people. I am passionate about promoting co-production, collective advocacy and campaigning for people’s rights to a good life.”
David Sargent, Chair of ARC’s Board, added, “I am very pleased on behalf of the Board to be welcoming Samantha to the post of ARC England Director. Samantha brings a wealth of experience to the role and a commitment to creating lasting change for people who draw on support.”
Samantha joins ARC England at an exciting yet challenging time, as the sector explores significant policy reform that can help support people with learning disabilities and autistic people to lives of choice and control, while providers navigate a climate of increasing financial uncertainty.
