To use the ARC Disclosure Service to carry out checks in Northern Ireland

Association for Real Change - AccessNI Certificate of Compliance December 2023Association for Real Change is registered with AccessNI to enable us to countersign your AccessNI checks for you.

To enable us to countersign your AccessNI checks we require organisations to be registered with us and to agree to follow the AccessNI Code of Practice.

Registration with the ARC Disclosure Service is free.

To register your organisation with the ARC Disclosure Service you will need to complete and return the following 2 forms:-

    • ARC Disclosure Service Employers Registration & Indemnity Form 2021 For your organisations address details, and to confirm you have the required procedures and documentation in place and that you are compliant with the accessni-code-of-practice
      • You will also need to include all the names of nominated individuals in your organisation who are to be registered with us to carry out ID checks.
      • if you wish to amend the details of your authorised ID checkers with us in the future, your Primary Contact will be required to email us with the name of the ID checker and their email address, together with the reason for the change.  If the Primary Contact leaves the organisation, we will need to know who has taken over this role.
    • As part of our agreement with you, organisations must give each applicant a copy of the Accessni Disclosure Applicant Information Leaflet-2021 prior to them commencing an online AccessNI application.

Forward the completed forms either via email: [email protected] or post to ARC Disclosure Service, Association for Real Change, Marsden Street, Chesterfield, Derbyshire, S40 1JY.  Please Note: forms to have a handwritten signature, typed names are not accepted.

Once we have received the completed forms we will register your organisation, and provide you with step-by-step guidance notes, usually within an hour (during business hours) of receipt.

You are then ready to start your staff checks.

The applicant will need to create an account with AccessNI to submit their application details.  You will need to give the applicant the PIN details which have been issued to you.  Once the applicant has completed their online application they will be issued with a case number, you need to record this case number on the PIN and ID validation forms and complete all necessary information in relation to the position applied for.  Once this is done the forms will be forwarded to ourselves along with copies of ID you have requested from the applicant.  We will process the application using the information from the applicant’s online application and the details submitted by you on the ARC PIN Notification and ID Validation Form July 2021 If there are any queries we will be in contact with you.  Application results are monitored and communicated direct to the organisations.  Full details on how applications are submitted are confirmed via email to organisations at the point of registering with us.  We have also produced a guide ARC Guidance to Online application Aug 18 v7 for assistance.
