Windward Day Services

Windward Day Services provides interesting and meaningful opportunities to adults over the age of 16 who have a learning disability or autism, or both. We also provide services for people who have complex health care needs. We use our five centres in Hampshire and Dorset as a base for people to access their local community, doing ordinary things that have a purpose.

We work as a team with our service users and their circles of care. Everyone has a person centred support plan and are involved in how their service is run. Our team are trained in positive behaviour support, Makaton, communication, supporting people who live with autism, supporting people who have dementia, PEG feeding, diabetes and the administration of insulin, etc.

We have a brand new service born out of the Coronavirus pandemic called Click. Providing an interactive online timetable, we are able to reach people who are unable to access their usual activities and routines, as well as others who have gaps in their week and unfilled time. The feedback from customers of Click and their carers and parents has been incredible. We are expanding from providing 25 sessions during weekdays to offer evening and weekend activities too.
